We are the first property management organization in Greater Columbus Georgia to establish an Internet website to provide assistance to tenants working with The Housing Authority of Columbus. This website has been provided as an information resource for Section 8 tenants interested in working with us and The Housing Authority of Columbus to secure a solid rental home for themselves.

What We Provide

The houses listed here are privately-owned. We do not provide high-end, luxury rental homes with the Section 8 program. However, we are also not "slumlords". We take our responsibilities seriously and we maintain our properties. We specialize in providing Solid Rental Homes to citizens of the Greater Columbus Georgia area.

Renting Houses to Tenants can be a Hard Expensive Business to Be In

We believe in "shooting straight" with our tenants. We will tell it to you "straight". We understand you want a solid home to enjoy and live in. We respect you and what you want. We also want to work with you. But there are some things you need to know about. It is entirely possible few people have told you what we are going to tell you.

The homes listed on this website are NOT owned "free and clear". We pay mortgages on these homes. Whether they are occupied or not, good or bad tenants, we bear full responsibility for renting these homes. We have very real expenses. We pay property taxes and insurance on the houses. We pay for maintenance on the houses. The monthly rent you pay us doesn't just go into our pocket despite what most people may think. We pay out most of the money we receive to banks, contractors, and the government. This is a very expensive and financially risky business we are in. We actually keep a very small portion of the money as profit.

Repairs & maintenance of houses can get very expensive. That is why we can only work with proactive, responsible tenants to rent our houses. That is why we would prefer to have vacant homes than to take on an irresponsible or criminal Section 8 Tenant. We believe in working with solid people and providing them with solid homes. However, there is a limit to what we can and will do for any one tenant or family.

Don't Be a "Bad Apple"

The Housing Authority provides assistance to those citizens they feel need it. We try to do our part to help the cause but please understand that it is voluntary for us. As long as it is a positive experience, we will continue working with you and The Housing Authority. It is easy for one "bad apple" to ruin it for others. We do our best to keep the "bad apples" away. We do not provide "perfect" homes. However, we do provide solid homes that have passed inspection with The Housing Authority.

Section 8 Housing is Provided on a Voluntary Basis

We, like other landlords, work with The Housing Authority on a voluntary basis and make our homes available to responsible, Section 8 Tenants. Unlike many private landlords, we are not dependent on Section 8 Tenants for the majority of our business. We do so as a way to provide an additional service to citizens of our community.

Section 8 Housing is a Partnership and Cooperative Effort

We will only work with Section 8 tenants that understand that working with The Housing Authority is an ongoing partnership. Everyone must work together cooperatively. Tenants looking to "take advantage" or abuse their Landlords and The Housing Authority need not apply. Please keep in mind, we do financial and criminal background checks for all Section 8 Tenants.

If you understand and can live with our guidelines, we will happily work with you to provide rental housing to you. You do your part, we do our part and everyone is happy.
